This group was formed in 1985 by the then Minister’s wife and several friends, taking Susannah Wesley (John’s mother) as our namesake. Over the intervening 33 years many ladies have enjoyed being part of the group and we still have one original member. Although we are principally interested in quilting, we are a group who share a love of needlework in all its forms.
In the main we are engaged in working on individual pieces of quilting, but from time to time we work on group projects, such as banners for EMC celebrating different Christian festivals, or quilts to be donated to various charities.
Our membership comprises both experienced quilters and those wishing to learn and improve their skill in this area. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and encouraging group and would welcome anyone male or female, keen to learn more.
We meet on Tuesdays in the Lower Lounge from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
