Everyone who joined our virtual charabanc tour earlier in the summer had a fun-filled three days in Edinburgh, Scarborough and Tenby! On Monday we were welcomed to Edinburgh by a piper and we ended our visit with Scottish dancing.
Later in the week we decorated candles, had a hand massage, a manicure morning and a percussion afternoon which involved some of us being able to ‘have a go’ on the timpani and snare drums together with all the other instruments.
Jim Bosley instructed and helped us to make scones and the week ended with the ever popular Hedley Kay singing for us. Andrew Jennings, ably assisted by Judy Higginson, cooked delicious lunches that reflected the areas we were visiting.
We have had many really enthusiastic comments from lots of those who came saying how much they enjoyed the three days, such as: “It made me feel so much younger”, “The food was delicious”, “The baking was great fun”.
Thank you so much to all our helpers each day and to all those who made cakes, puddings and gave lifts which enabled all our guests to come along and enjoy their holiday.
Next year’s Summer Fun in the charabanc will be on Monday 30 July, Wednesday 1 and Friday 3 August 2018 and we look forward to seeing you.
