What EMC collects

  • Recycled via Specsavers/The Lions Club of Chichester and sent to countries in need.

  • Recycled by melting and used to form new batteries, while the acid is converted into industrial chemicals or water.

  • If possible, please empty your containers before recycling. Unfortunately we are unable to recycle nail varnish containers. Aerosols, plastic bottles and glass jars should be recycled with your normal weekly recycling.

  • Raises money for the RNIB.

  • ‘Smalls for All’ who support vulnerable women in Africa.

  • Recycled into outdoor furniture and playground surfaces etc…

  • Made into plastic pellets which are then used to make bin liners, construction materials and stiff plastic goods such as buckets.

    Soft plastics include:

    • Plastic bread bags

    • Biscuit wrappers

    • Sweet wrappers

    • Fruit & veg nets

    • Crisp packets

    • Clean cling film

    • Plastic bags
