The Welcome Club's afternoon tea in The Little Garden

Welcome Club met this August in the new Little Garden to enjoy a summer afternoon tea. Homemade scones with cream, jam and strawberries, a variety of sandwiches and homemade cake were enjoyed by all. Rev Gill Long gave a short talk and entertained us all with amazing facts about the origins of tea and the typically English custom of consuming afternoon tea. Everyone left with full tummies and had a great time.
Welcome Club meets twice monthly throughout the year and is open to all, either as a member or a helper. “Welcome” is what defines us.
Please also make use of the Little Garden, it is a great space to relax and unwind whenever you happen to be at church.
