What are the services like?
9am Morning Worship
Our 9am service offers a meditative time of worship rooted in Christian traditions. You can expect scripture readings, liturgy, a biblical message, classic hymns accompanied by an organ and moments of prayer and reflection. This service provides a meaningful way to connect with God in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All are welcome to join us as we worship together. Services typically last just under one hour.
10.30am Sunday Celebration
The 10.30am Sunday Celebration is a lively and contemporary family service welcoming all ages. There is a time of sung worship, with typically two or three songs led by our band. There will then be a reading of a passage from the Bible followed by a sermon by a minister or local preacher. We then finish with a final worship song and usually there is an opportunity to receive prayer. During the service there is a dedicated programme, KidZone for primary school aged children (see further details below). Tea and coffee is provided after the service. All refreshments are free.
Chinese Congregation - 2pm
International Congregation - 2pm
What about my kids?
At Epsom Methodist Church we enjoy the buzz of little voices in our church services and under fours are welcome to use our play area at the back of the church during services.
For primary school age children we have our KidZone provision, which starts at 10.30am on a Sunday and includes games, songs, Bible stories, discussion and crafts. It finishes at 11:10am, at which point the children come to join with the rest of the church for worship.
Senior school aged young people are invited to take part in our monthly micro-church. Please ask a member of the team for details.
Also, look out for our community worship services, where the whole 10.30am service is geared towards all aged worship, and keep an eye on the children's and families section of this website for other activities for young people.
Accessibility
There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is an assessible toilet in the main foyer.
